Day One

Today was a very good day.  We had lots of sunshine until about 2:30 and then it poured the rain.  The campers got tested for leaking and both of them withstood the test.  We will all sleep dry tonight.

While driving through the rain Michael’s car stalled, it seems the very last part we put in the car would be the first part we would need.  A  fuse block broke.  After going through everything in the back seat to find his rain jacket he was out in a flash and done in 8 minutes.

  1. Tim told me about this big adventure and I just had to look for myself! I love camper! Will it be for rent…..if you make it back?!! Will be checking in on your progress, good luck!

  2. Joan and I sure wish we were with you all. We were even discussing that maybe if things work out back here we could maybe take a couple of weeks and meet you coming back. Keep in touch. Let me know if the TV’s are working. Good Luck!!!

  3. Sorry about your luck Mike but sounds like you got everything under control and back on the road again.
We will miss seeing you at the ball games.
    Have fun!

  4. Danny and Tammy,
I just wanted to say that I will be praying for you both and I love the idea of this adventure. You guys know I love challenges but this one certainly causes me to rethink if I really know what a challenge is.
I thought I would leave you with this verse to think about while you travel. Psalm 121:7-8 says, “The LORD shall perserve you from all evil; He shall perserve your soul. The LORD shall perserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.”
Just don’t be like Moses and wander (or drive in your case) in the wilderness for 40 years! I love you both and best wishes during your travels. I look forward to hearing more about the trip. Keep us posted.

  5. Danny and Tammy,

I’ve just finished reading the latest on your wonderful trip. I just can’t help but picture myself in your shoes. This is enough to write a book about! It will be such a great adventure. I look forward to following along on your journey and wish you both the best of fun, and I expect to see loads of pictures!

    Love you both

    Alesha, David and Katie Beth
