On Saturday, May 17, we’ll tour the historic town of Perryville, Ky. and surrounding area.
Those who want to travel with the group from Lexington should gather at Chick Fil-A, 4275 Harrodsburg Rd. at Madrone Way (south of Man o’ War Blvd.) for an 8:30 a.m. departure.
Delmer and Linda Dalton will lead the group to the Five Star gas station on U.S. 127 just south of the Walmart in Harrodsburg. There, at 10 a.m., we’ll be led by Harold and Jane Edwards on a scenic drive featuring the following attractions.
• The Old Mud Meeting House.
• A farm owned by radio personality Rick Dees.
• The Crawford House, spring and cave.
After lunch on the boardwalk in Perryville, we’ll visit historic Penn’s Store near Gravel Switch, Ky. Then, it’s on to the Forkland Community Center and the Abraham Lincoln Museum.

What you’ll need to bring

Our hosts in Perryville are furnishing hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, cups, plates, etc. Please bring a dish to share (in a cooler, if necessary) and the beverage of your choosing (including some to share, if possible).

On Friday, June 6, we’ll begin our three-day, two-night adventure to southern Indiana with an 8:30 a.m. departure from Chick Fil-A, 4275 Harrodsburg Rd. (south of Man o’ War Blvd.).
