Long Day of Driving

Today started at 7:30 a.m. and we drove 335 miles to Bennet Springs State Park, Lebanon, Mo.
We have seen some beautiful country and crossed the mighty muddy Mississippi River. We have driven through the Ozark Razorback Mt.s and along roadsides filled with beautiful wildflowers. We saw our first armidillo roadkill better know locally as ‘possum on a half shell.

We had a great supper tonight consisting of fried bologna sandwichs and fried potatoes. Yum Yum!! We topped it off with fruit cup and oreos.

  5. I am watching your complete trip through Alaska and back! After watching ICE ROAD TRUCKERS and seeing those big rigs barely making it up and down those great mountains, how ever can you make it in model “A”’s? I think I am lucky when I go to our club meeting and make it home!! I am a member of the FALLS CITY MODEL “A” CLUB. A few of us try to make a cross country trip each week, but never out of towing distance. Keep us posted about some of the hard times also. Pete Kubala. Lou. Ky
