We woke up to a beautiful sun rise on top of a mountain overlooking a lake. The weather was a very cool 65 degrees. We set out on a scenic drive through the Sandhills of Nebraska which was a constant breathtaking view of rolling green pastures and old farm houses. The highway looked like a long snake in front of us that you could see going on forever and ever.

We had fresh potato encrusted pan fried walleye cooked to perfection on an antique Coleman camp stove by our resident chef Mike Akers. The fish was provided by the same wonderful fisherman that took pity on us the previous evening and gave us the catfish. This was two “free” meals provided to us on the road that our fisherman friend gave us. Everyone has been so nice to us. We can say already camping is the way to see the great outdoors. We love it! We are collecting lots of humorous pictures to include with each posting when we can find a site with great cell signal.
