We made it to Alaska!

We crossed the Alaska state line on Saturday afternoon and even though the scenery was similar to the Yukon, there was an immediate feeling that something was different and in some strange way -we were home! The entrance into our beloved homeland was currently under road construction and the dirt, gravel, and dust became a constant companion for many miles. We drove into the East entrance and toured the grand old lodge of Glacier National Park. That lodge was just as impressive as the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone.

Tonight we are in Canada. I have some serious education to do with reading the Alaska Mile post and getting us from campground to campround. The Canadian Border was a piece of cake. Hope getting out of Canada is that easy.
